Pedalling Dreams: The Raleigh Story

We are a proud dealer of Raleigh bikes. Some of us are proud riders of Raleigh bikes. My personal commuter is a 1958 Raleigh Lenton Grand Prix, which was their top of the line touring bike in it’s day.

This BBC Documentary tells the tale of the ups and downs of Raleigh bikes, using personal testimony and rare and previously unseen archive film. Born in the back streets of Nottingham in 1888, Raleigh grew to become the biggest bicycle manufacturer in the world and, for more than a century, was known for its simple and practical bikes.
