Colin began learning about bicycles as a shop kid cutting up cardboard, making coffee, and cleaning up around a bike shop in his native Newfoundland. After taking a mechanic course and volunteering enough around the store, he eventually became useful enough to get paid. His teenage years involved countless hours of solo mountain biking and a bit of racing, and these days bicycles serve as his car, gym, and happy place. He has worked as a mechanic on and off in Newfoundland, Alberta, and BC for almost 20 years. In addition to cycling he enjoys playing acoustic guitar, teaching Alexander Technique, reading, walking, and gardening.
